Funny, there are people saying that the concept of charging monthly fees for Net access is doomed! redherring.com What I see in all of this is a bunch of companies trying to keep pace with the digital revolution which is not an easy thing to do. They're trying to predict the future and create it at the same time. CPQ is a good example of a company that was once everybody's darling but hasn't been able to keep up recently. You could say that CPQ has fallen off of the crest of the wave, although longtime CPQ investors have been well rewarded.
