You make good points here the price point this AMD guy stated are ridiculous if he new anything about marketing. How much capacity does AMD have. potential for 5-10% of the market. This would have little affect on the market price of most chips. Also if a major compter maker were to use AMD instead of Intel they would jeopardize their supply position and could be potentially put out of business nobody is going to risk that. As for Intel depreciating 2/3 of their assets over the next couple of years. Yeah this is true but you could have said that anytime in the last ten years and been correct too. So what is the point. This is a non-cash transaction. Joe
