I wonder if we may be seeing a preview of what is to come based on the financial Internets. At first, there were only one or two, now many, with today's winners being those that devote $millions to on-going advertising and a steady stream of PR releases. In the end, there will be a shakeout of only one or two clear winners. After all these $millions are spent on perception, it will come to rest on reality - earnings. Perhaps PNLK has chosen to avoid this costly noise making and instead do modest ad campaigns with hiatus, spend money on air flights to foreign countries, shake some hands, and quietly go about the business of getting customers. Not very exciting now, but laying the foundation. When the earnings come, the noise crowd will notice, and certain columnists and talking-heads will appear wise with their newly-found pick of the PNLK that has been years in the making. This approach may be maddening for US shareholders in the middle of all this Internet noise and fluff, but when you consider just who is PNLK's average customer, it makes a lot more sense.
