Do you use the private message feature here on SI? If not, it is a usefull feature and easily accessed. You may even discover that you have Private messages which you didn't know about, Possibly very old ones.
Just click on your own name and use the edit your personal profile, checking the correct box for the features you want.
Let me know if you need help should you choose to add these features to your SI.
