Jim: "Important> China Unicom gets key roaming agreement that will enhance its ability to attract cdmaOne subscribers"
Hey folks, I'm as happy as anybody around this joint that the Q is rockin' and rollin' [god almighty can you imagine being short this beast over the last four or five months? Very, very, very ouch], but let's pause for a second on Jim's post.
Seems to me that every ten thousandth news release or so, one pops out that's worth noting. Last I checked, there are a few folks running around China and the prospect that CDMA may be getting its nose under the Great Wall Tent, so to speak, seems way cool.
And my guess is that the [formerly] hated Ericy may be playing a big role here. The Mighty Q let Ericy kiss its ring in early May and Ericy's now a big CDMA booster, right? Then the last day in June, the CDMA forces get an apparently huge boost with the Unicom announcement. How long has Ericy been greasing the wheels in China? How many times did the Q (without Ericy's push) SEEM to be getting somewhere, and then run out of gas for no apparent reason? Me thinking this ain't no cowinkydink. How about y'all? SM
