FAST-GROWING VIDEOFLICKS.COM LAUNCHES MAJOR
E-BASED ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

Toronto, Ontario, June 23, 1999 - Videoflicks.com, Inc., (CDN: VFCO.U) today announced the start of the company's first
Internet-based advertising campaign designed to draw new customers to its world-class video and DVD movie sales site at
www.videoflicks.com

Since its launch in 1995 as the world's first video movie web site, Videoflicks.com has compiled enviable growth and recognition
despite the fact the site has never advertised. Videoflicks.com's exceptional 200% annual month-over-month growth in revenues has
been based solely on word-of-mouth recommendations. TopTenLinks.com, an independent survey firm, recently identified the site as
one of the top five sites on the Internet for purchases of videos and DVDs. The site received 14 million hits and one million unique
visitors in May, more than doubling its statistics from the year before.

With the launch of the company's advertising campaign, CEO Michael Kavanagh plans to make more video buyers aware of the
excellent site. The new campaign is highlighted by web-based banner ads that began appearing yesterday via a Run-of-Network
series appearing on the nearly 900 sites affiliated with the Flycast Network. The company's first priority is to produce 50 million
banner impressions per month at web sites with high percentages of video buyers. The campaign -which may reach U.S. $7 million in
advertising over the next 12 months - is an integrated strategy to reach video and DVD buyers on the Net, through magazines and
selected television shows. The campaign also includes an intensive North America-wide public relations program which is being
launched concurrent with the new advertising.

Videoflicks.com selected three agencies within the Omnicom Group to effect the campaign. The lead agency is Rapp Collins
Communicaide, the Toronto office of Rapp Collins Worldwide, the world's largest direct response marketing agency. Other parts of the
marketing team are InfoWorks in Toronto, a leading knowledge creation company and also a part of Rapp Collins, and Organic Media,
the e-commerce media buying giant which is partially owned by the Omnicom Group.

Videoflicks.com operates one of the world's first on-line video retail sites and offers the widest selection of videos and DVDs available
on-line. The company specializes in providing hard-to-find and classic videos that are not generally available through traditional
outlets. This is a critical strength for the site as, contrary to popular belief, it is not recent blockbusters that consumers are buying.
Fully 74.4% of all videos sold are not heavily promoted titles. Correspondingly, 95% of all Videoflicks.com sales are of non-current
blockbusters. Videoflicks.com focuses on customer service, fast delivery and reasonable prices. Videoflicks offers more than 100,000
movie titles and has served over 60,000 customers in 60 countries worldwide.
