I agree with you. 7 minutes is way too long. I've had to call them to make sure my bid and offers get posted though. Many times, they do not.

Are you aware that when you look at the option quotes from Fidelity, it's not correct? They will many times show you the bid/ask on the American or Philadephia exchange, and route your order to the CBOE! You will most definitely lose 1/16 and many time 1/8 or a point, on top of the spread, on top of the commission!!

They do NOT roll up best bid and best ask from all the option exchanges and show you that composite quote. They use that themselves, but NONE OF THEIR TRADING PRODUCTS DO!!

ALL MM salivate when they see a market order. LT investors don't care for these 1/8 point "scraps". We do.

There's no conspiracy, my friend. However, as you said, they are a "mutual fund company". That's the point.

Let me know where you land. I've got an interest in finding Level II with a RT quoting system and the ability to short, write put, write naked calls all electronically....(without calling a broker).
