Can't say I agree, nor disagree.
I have been a long term holder of microsoft, and I can attest [with hindsight], that some of the sales of stock Bill Gates and other insiders executed have been so "ill-timed", that it makes one wonder. I can't provide exact dates and quantities, but qualitatively, there have been numerous times, if bill had only waited another month or so, he could have appreciated 25% greater "profit", if he wasn't already being forced to sell on a time constraint.
However, as an investor, it is somewhat unsettling to have executives sell shares when the price is depressed. Makes one wonder if they know something, and you don't. Give those guys a break, they have their own needs also.
