Amen to that, brother.
Strange that the price would rise on the heels of WSJ focus on NM's problem with the Fatness Flyer. On fundamentals, you have to says that losing the income stream from this product would be a major blow, since the FF is apparently their cash cow this year.
I'm somewhat wary of this buyout talk, especially in light of Todd's posting the other week re. shareholder rights provisions. This weekend I really have to read the Annual to get a sense of how hard it would be for an unwelcome suitor to bid for NM. Also, I am astonished that even with the volume in recent weeks, no party has crossed the SEC's reporting threshhold.
That said, I expect I'll stick around via options for another month or two. April 10s and May 10s were smartly up today, and were virtually the only NM options traded. If we can't get over 10 tomorrow, I hope we're down so I can get some cheap April 12.5s. Of course, I prefer plan A.
Good luck, all.
