I2, I don't know if and when Bob may go bearish but I think some of your reasoning is incorrect as I certainly hope it would be. Under this scenario of convenience you would be saying Bob's model will give a sell signal, would presumably get himself and then his money management clients effectively out of the market but because of factors relating to convenience of when he may be sending the monthly newsletter he may not notify MarkeTimer subscribers for as many as several weeks. That would seem to be a terrible breach of responsibility to me and not something I can imagine Bob doing. What if during the two or three weeks after his model gives a sell signal while he is fiddling and diddling instead of notifying his subscribers the market should have a major drop? Are you going to happy receiving a newsletter telling you the timing model turned negative and to get out of the market after the market has made a 10 or 15 or who knows percent drop between the time a sell signal was given and the time you were given notification when Bob has stated that he will advise subscribers at least by immediate mail should there be a sell signal. Would that make any sense after Bob has clearly been saying the market is in a precarious position and he is monitoring his indicators daily?
This would also assumedly occur around a new high at which Bob has said he will need to take a careful look at his model to see if any further progress can be made or if we might instead reach an inflection point into a bear market.
