Ultimate Announces Red Hot Connect.com as the Portal Site for Web Access Cards a Direct Media Gateway to the Internet
VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 28, 1999--Ultimate Direct, a division of ULTC (OTC:Bulletin Board:ULTC) has announced today the creation of its portal site Red Hot Connect.com. The site will offer consumers discounts, savings and special offers from nationally recognized companies that participate in ULTC's Web Access Card marketing program.

Red Hot Connect.com is expected to be live on the Internet June 30, 1999.

ULTC announced its new product, Web Access Cards, on June 3, 1999 as a direct marketing program distributed through convenience stores. Consumers shopping at convenience stores will have the opportunity to buy Web Access Cards through participating retail chains. According to the National Association of Convenience Stores there are 96,700 convenience store in the United States with average monthly traffic of 750 people a day.

Red Hot Connect.com is a portal site where customers register and verify the purchase of their Web Access Card to receive fulfillment of marketing offers. The site creates a direct link between the real world advertisement and the Internet through direct response techniques. As an advertising tool, Web Access Cards and Red Hot Connect.com can deliver advertising impressions and new customers at a very low cost to the advertiser.

''Consumers are always looking for the best products at the best price. Web Access Cards are a marketing tool that tells customers about savings, discounts and offers from e-commerce companies. Card purchasers simply access the Internet and go to Red Hot Connect.com to receive their incentives from our advertisers,'' said Mark Jensen, Marketing Director for ULTC.

Jensen calls Red Hot Connect.com a Direct Media Gateway. It is an interactive network that channels marketing communications between companies and prospects. Red Hot Connect provides traditional direct marketing tools to attract consumers and directs them online to the Internet through response techniques.

''We have created a direct link between real world marketing methods and online access. Literally, the first experience on the Internet can be the fulfillment of incentives from our advertisers. Companies looking for new customers cannot find better marketing than this,'' Jensen said.

Distribution for Web Access Cards is through Can-Am International, ULTC's subsidiary in Canada. In the United States, distribution is through Product Express.com, a division of PCIG (OTC:Bulletin Board: PCIG). Between the two companies, they distribute and market to over 120 convenience store chains.

Wallace and Carey, one of the largest distributors in Canada, has pledged its support of the Web Access Card program. Gary Pass, Logistics Manager for Wallace and Carey, said, ''We are always looking for new and innovative products to take to our customers. We would like to present this program to some of our customers which include 7-Eleven, Shell, Zellers, Canadian Tire, Cineplex Odeon Theatres, Rogers Video, and Blockbuster Video.''
