Elmatador; I'm going to slap you again! (;-)

Go to their home page and pick out the following:

Transmission solutions
Switching
Internet solutions
Routing
Messaging

The above is just for network operators/service providers, but even enterprise Solutions has a large fixed product portfolio.

The wireline business, although not the sexiest to many is expected to grow. Why? The reason is the old telecom network is in need of being upgraded to handle packetised data (including voice). Today the preferrd route is to transmit IP over ATM (ATM is packetised but point-to-point, it alsoi has increased data capability). Then we will start seeing the increase in transmission through put with technologies like (D)WDM..you know where light is split into different frequencies (or colour). BTW did you know they do WDM? Or the fact that they have sold some very interesting kit to BT in the last 8 months, heard of HomeHighway for example?

Most of the wireless stuff is for the end-user, that's why there were no sexy pictures of rainbows running down a fibre optic!! So for the life of me, I don't understand your protestations?!?!

God forbid if Ericsson became like Nokia! They are both great companies with different yet maybe even complementary approaches to the market. Maybe I'll explain that more another day!

BTW Ericsson sold its remaining shares in Intracom (realising a profit!) in Greece:
ericsson.com

Then they announce an order with the Greek government:
ericsson.com
