Thanks again for the heads up, Benny. I'd say its now official. Checkfree will remain in the Russell 2000 and that's the main reason for this run-up after YDA's closing compression.

The correct number of shares to use is abt. 51.7 million shares. At a $1.424 billion market cap, there are by my reckoning about 1016 larger qualifying U.S. companies ahead of CKFR as measured by market cap. That should give us enough room if the database includes some other overstated situations like CKFR was. In fact, it seems likelier that the database could omit some very new names or share offerings.

Hope this helps. It did for me. If it has pushed the stock up, we could get a pullback, but I'd bet there are some who will wait to add until the list is out next week.

All this is in addition to the more element of fundamentals, of course.
