With the NASDAQ stock market and several private firms preparing
to offer after hours stock trading to individual investors later this

As much as 40 percent of stock orders are placed after the
markets close, according to research firm Gomez Advisors, creating a
huge potential market for firms offering after hours trading.

"This domain name will immediately make any firm the focal point for
investor interest in after hours trading."
With Yahoo rumored to be in talks with Reuters unit Instinet,
after hours trading could get even bigger, Mr. Shread said.
"Some very heavy hitters see the potential and are moving in,"
Mr. Shread said. "If Yahoo offers after hours trading, can the other
search engines be far behind? You need something to set yourself apart
in this area, to let people know you're there, and to create an

The number of online brokerage accounts is expected to explode to
25 million by 2002, up from 6.7 million accounts in '95, according to
market research firm IDC.
