Hello all,

I have been away for a while trying to figure out how to send power surges through Ebay's servers. Still pleased with my decision to close out my "investing" relationship with AMZN at $106. I believe that Ebay is soon to take a dive: Auction growth lower, vendors complaining of summer slowdown in bids, low levels of customer service and continued technical problems. Expect bad numbers from Ebay this quarter.

I think one auction phenomenon worth pointing out is that it is very much a fad.

A couple of months ago I became sort of hooked on Ebay and made a ton of bids and purchases. Then I realized that there really are not that many good deals to be had because of the auction reserve system. Also, frankly I came to be bored by it and annoyed by the inefficiency of the site. I also think that a lot of the addicted buyers will slow down their usage of Ebay after eating into their reserves of disposable income.
