one doesn't preclude the other Patsy; I bought puts myself last night near the close but was only able to get the 135 july, the stock was moving so fast.

I commented that you could sell the stock and buy calls --- I don't recall saying to hold on and buy calls. You could also purchase "protective puts" to insulate your stock position.

I myself prefer to deal with the options; rather than the stock---less expensive and more rewarding.
