significant growth in each of its three core constituencies. At the
end of June 1999, GoTo had more than 10,000 advertisers, 80,000
network affiliate sites and an estimated 10,000,000 unique users
across its network. Moreover, GoTo earned one of the top search
relevance rankings in the most recent NPD Online Research survey.
GoTo.com pioneered an online marketplace that introduces
consumers who search the Internet using keyword search terms to
advertisers who have bid in an ongoing auction for priority placement

As of June 1999, 10,000 advertisers actively participated in
GoTo.com's online marketplace. Advertisers pay a fee, which they set,
