John

Can't help on the phone number. I never had a direct line in my very short experience with Action Direct a long time ago.

As for stops....Several of the Discount Brokers in Canada now offer them (e.g. Greenline). Of course I would also recommend using stops on every trade. However one big problem with many of these brokers is confirmation times. They won't let you enter a stop loss until the trade has been confirmed. Although confirmation can be fast, on a bad day in a fast moving stock confirmation of the buy/sell can take 10 minutes or more over the internet. By this time the stock could have blown through the price you were going to set you stop at.

On days like this it forces you to sit on the phone until you get confirmation and then you can place your stops.

Best Regards
KEITH
