to: Neocon from: truedog <wheelchairs> Neo, just saw a news report on MSNBC about a new invention of a motorized wheel chair that both climbs and descends stairs at an unusual rate of speed, unassisted, goes through sand (wet or dry),and loose gravel with the added perk of putting the disabled at near eye level with walking kin and friends. Johnson & Johnson is going to market it and, it should be available in about 18 months. The price tag is about $20K but, when you consider that ramps, widened doorways, etc. are no longer needed, there may be a near trade-off. Regards, truedog
