There is a big difference between a short sale and a covered short sale.

I agree with you there, I've stated it many times myself. But on the GPM thread, many assume they are the same. Listen to the comments of a NET short position of 8000-12,000 tonne. How can we assume any is really a net short? Or is it that much is held off the market, not in the books? They have only here say, an second hand comments to survive on.
