G'day Steve & all - yes, from the POV of an outsider like myself, the glacier speed of reform can be frustrating. Unfortunately, my guess [w/o support of any detail research] is that the sons and daughters of the high officials are still controlling the key industries. Ok, the latest crop of young turks are probably better educated - and hopefully with a more genuine attitude in reviving China's image amongst the civilized world - therefore with a better chance to make positive impact.
