teflon, i think individuals "react" to news--maybe even after thinking about it for a day or so. That is, they are probably sending request to their mutual fund companies, telling to switch to equity from bond/money market funds. That would sustain a rally for a few days.
That is one reason i feel they will be buying in the last 1/2 hour. They could always wait til tomorrow morning of course.

The employment report will be meaningless unless it totally unexpected. People will buy on the news anyways. I feel that the bond won't do well---causing people to switch to equity funds in addition to the cash being used. It may not make sense but neither do internet stocks---it is gonna happen.
