Ah finally weighs in on Excite... Is that all? You are unsatisfied that 10% of targeted Excite users have been converted to @home? How long has Excite been doing this? Did all 100% targeted have @home available to them? How big a backlog is there on installs? Give it a chance. Specifically, what has Excite done for ATHM? Not much yet. What do you think they could accomplish in a couple of months? If you look though you can see being put into place things that might do a lot for ATHM. Two simple examples are the Excite branded dial-up ISP and the new Excite voice chat which will someday morph to video. To truely win the war for the minds of consumers someone must create a broadband-centric web. Like it or not being able to download todays static pages a little bit faster will not draw in enough people to make broadband widespread. 56k isnt that bad really for basic text pages, especially considering that even at 56k "the net" is still a major limiter in the throughput. Excite was very likely much too expensive for the return, but it will help in the war against dial-up. Dont think there isnt one. Eric
