I posted a long report on the demo in Wall Street but it evidently did not get posted. Let me try a repeat. I had a unique opportunity to have a few minutes of porivate conversation with Bill Jobe,Neal Page,the Real Networks VP,the BankBoston Chief Technical officer and the VIRAGE representatives who demoed their system. In regard to Bill Jobe I will admit he surprised me. I have been aware of hiis long standing involvement with MMAC as Chairman of the Board and his capability to serve as the President of VCST was suspect in my mind. I no longer have any concer.He not only knows the business of VCST but he is spending the nmajority of his time on the road "Selling". He is not managing the Company from his Aspen Colorado home. He is a true visionary and charismatic leader who will succeed. The enthusiasm I found in Neal Page (Osprey Division chief) was also impressive hde FirstFinancial Bank Boston Chief Technical officer bried his organizations use and plans for deploying VCST video teleconferencing and streaming products through out the $180 billion dollar organization. When complete this could well become the world's largets video conferencing and streaming network in the world. My compliments to Mike Trego of the Eastern Regional VCST marketing office for making this sale. Mike ,for those who don't know his background,was a salesman for OCOM before they almost disappeared. In addition to the folks mentioned above there were others from several major NY financial institutions and brokerage houses in attendance. To summarize-I was much impressed and increased my holdings when I returned to my office. I did not get to attend the streamer show on 29-30 June in NY because other more pressing business diverted me. Was sorry to miss since it would have been a good plasce to note the streaming competitors. I did learn however that one of VCST's biggest customers is Yahoo (Broadcast.Com)
