A Keytronic biometric keyboard promotion, in the June 29,1999 The Scotsman:

"By entering our simple competition, you can get in at the start of the biometric revolution as Interactive has teamed up with Key Tronic to give readers the chance to win one of three Secure Scanner Keyboards, which retail at GBP 149 [$234]. The keyboard encompasses Identicator's Direct Fingerprint Reader DFR200 fingerprint scanner and BioLogon Software, a customised NT 4.0 and Windows 95, 98 logon system, which provides greater security for user authentication on enterprise networks.

"Set-up is simple as the software will 'walk' users through the process of scanning one or multiple fingers into the database and assign it access privileges. . . ."

=========================

I italicized the interesting part about enrolling "multiple" fingers. It could be a mistake, since my understanding is that the BioLogon 1.01 software doesn't enroll more than one finger . . . or it could be a sign that Keytronic is already incorporating some version of BioLogon 2.0 -- which does allow multiple finger enrollment.

We should all be paying close attention to the rollout of BioLogon 2.0.
