Is being annoying actionable? Ask me Tuesday -- I'm arguing very much that point in a hearing Monday morning.

Tortious interference can be actionable, where it is interference with one of the other person's rights, or with a business expectancy. If I am about to sign a contract to represent a major client and you are made at me and want to keep me from getting the client and write to them and say, without their asking, that they shouldn't hire me because I write sexy messages on SI, and they don't hire me because of that, I can sue you for tortious interference with a business expectancy.

I know nothing of the AZNT situation, I don't know what you did, so I don't know whether it is a) something on which they can sue without suffering sanctions for frivolous litigation, b) something on which they can not only sue but perhaps hope to prevail, or c) something on which they can sue and you had better have a good insurance policy or a damn good lawyer. Oops, make that doggone good lawyer--profanity is against the SI Terms of Use. <g>
