Given that the purchase happened at the close yesterday, they probably didn't spin all 4M shares yesterday. And yes a house like Goldman probably did hold the position overnight. Aw gee. Ian. No, really not all that possible. Goldman doesn't position stocks like that. While it's certainly possible that Goldman bought a 4mm share block from Dell, the odds are about 100% that they turned that block before the end of the day.
