DELL FA and TA UPDATE
Looking back the connection between FA and TA becomes clear.
(1) Today's Wall Street Journal page B12 and I quote
"The free-PC movement got underway in Feb 1999 when Bill Gross
launched FREE-PC inc."
(2) DELL peaked at 55 in Feb 1999.
(3) AOL spends $50-100 on adds for each new customer and many do
not stay for 36 months, so the article goes on to say that
that each computer will generate $300 ($700 -$400).
(4) Next month Itoaster will launch a $199 PC and it is expected
that anyone who just wants on the internet will also get this
computer free.
(5) If you are managing a billion dollar fund, why invest in a company
with a very high PE, when others are giving the product away
FREE ?????
(6) DELL, at best should have a PE of INTEL.
