Well, how can he know whether he would or wouldn't, unless he actually had a child? Then it stops being hypothetical, and starts being all too real. And if you actually have a child, you know how much of an allocation of resources that child is, every iota of it given gladly and freely, with the hope that the child will have what it needs to function and be strong and good and happy. And if someone tried to victimize my child, or exploit my child, for his or her own purposes, damn straight I'd do whatever I could to stop him or her. I don't think dating a peer, when the child is of appropriate dating age, is victimization or exploitation, please don't misunderstand me.
