If anyone is still reading this thread....I finally talked to John Curle at Markatech yesterday, here's what he said:

The company should have a press release out this week (he actually predicted by today), to announce that beta testing of Auto Net is beginning in the next two weeks with Metro Parking of Vancouver. He said the delays in getting it started have been unavoidable and mainly technical in nature, and the prototype is completely ready to go now.

He also said that the Canadian subsidiary of one of the biggest US parking lot company (Diamond is the name of the subsidiary) is about ready to start beta testing Auto Net also. They wanted to be the first to get started and have their name on the first press release, but there were delays in getting approval from the parent company, so their start--and news release--will come after Metro's. He sounded as if Diamond is potentially a more promising source of contracts and revenues than Metro--they're very interested in the product and are much bigger, not just a local company like Metro.

He also said that when beta testing does get started, it should be fairly quick, only 30-45 days to complete.

Anyway, that's the report. An actual news release, whenever it comes, will be nice to see.
