Jan, I've been around since 1995...even before the name of this thread got changed to "S3 (A LONGER TERM PERSPECTIVE)" by none other than Frank. Should be really nice to see where S3 goes on their second revival. Revival #1 was back in 1994 when S3 started it's climb to the top by writing off their old 32-bit chip inventory (and getting hammered for it) and moving on into 64-bit designs and pioneering the way w/ their infamous Virge 3D family..in the meantime ousting Cirrus Logic as the #1 graphics chip supplier. Can they do it again? It'll be fun to watch whatever the outcome.
