I did not receive the mailing, so I am not sure what it contained. The prices came from the reps on the phone.

Everyone that can be contacted has been, or will be, contacted.

I recognize this is a "massive retaliation" kind of response, but it is important. This talk, these inflated numbers, must not be uttered again. Obviously, prices must be lower. Airtouch is almost certainly going to be reasonable and drop what they charge. If that is the case, they should not make the first impression using figures such as these. Fatal mistake in my book. I haven't held on to Loral since inception just to see it pissed away by Iridium wanna-be's. As Barney Fife used to say, we need to "nip it in the bud!"

I do recognize that this is only North America we are talking about, and significant price concessions have been made in places like Brazil, and that the fact that three gateways are going in China is very significant in projecting demand, but North America will be a significant market. All of them are significant. If only one guy in Suriname is interested in a phone, I want him to hear the "real oil" and be convinced to buy that phone. No compromises anywhere on earth. I hate losing money.
