First off I can't stand the idea of Herb Williams sitting on the bench wasting space, I neither admire or like him. He should've been
retired a long time ago.
Well as long as we're not viewing the whole picture, and being anecdotal, and having a kindly old pissing match:

Now below you can see the list of their information providers. Seems like a broad and trusted, overall, list. I'm not a professional researcher, but it seems like this list would be useful for many many many kinds of research.
As far has "hobbyist" versus "professional". Without checking I think it safe to say that there are at least as many serious "hobbyists" as there are serious "professionals" in the world. Think of it. Many "professionals are" "hobbyists" and many "hobbyists" are "professionals". 15,000 schools and institutions subscribing to INFO's elibrary service seems impressive to me. Seems like they are locked in there, for now. Are all of these schools and institutions wrong?
Anecdotally speaking. I was searching for something yesterday. I checked Yahoo, Metacrawler, Alta Vista, and the only place I found it was...E-Library. Not all research out there can be found in Lexis/Nexis (which is unaffordable to most individuals and overkill for many research needs), NYTImes and Dow Jones publications.
And E-Library.com is only ONE of Infonautics' products! If this company IPO'd today I daresay it would have a more reasonable valuation in today's market. Which means only one thing: Its undervalued, and it will take time but it will either be acquired or its valuation will rise to the level at which it belongs.
And to conclude, why don't you discuss stocks that you own? You disagree with my comments? Well then quit the pissing match and move on to what you own or are interested in owning.
