Stunning, but true....> 4 million millionaires. I agree with LindyBill..scary.....I see this on my own street. I am a professionally successful physician earning in the low 6 digits..yet on my street, I am a pauper....might as well be sweeping the street...the other guys in the neighborhood work for Fidelity, Putnam, ML, or have taken their software company(s) public. You have to have some self-control to realize your net value to society, apart from comparing who is driving what, to remind yourself you're doing OK. Fortunately, here in New England, people tend not to be real showy, and are generally conservative. It's 1999, and they're just discovering in-ground sprinklers and pools out here.
but frankly, this tech boom should continue thru the next decade, especially with the rest of the world gearing up and expanding. I think we will see more of the same in terms of wealth creation. Hopefully, values of hard work will not disappear.
