I had considered building a Pentium II system, but when I started gathering the junkyard parts five months ago, they were still a bit pricey.

I wanted to keep the whole thing under $400.

One design element I considered to cut costs was to use a 5 or 10 inch monitor. Using a large fresnel plastic lens positioned in front of it.

I would call this the "Virtual Monitor" "Five inches that looks like a whopping 15 inch monitor!"

I adapted this concept from the movie "Brasil".

Hmmm Perhaps I could have adapted the keyboard from that old Smith Corona typewriter I have laying around....
