Mr. Christopher Roblee reports
Fidelity Management & Research Co. has declared that certain open-end
investment companies, of which it serves as investment manager, have in
public transactions purchased Research in Motion Ltd. common stock. The
common stock purchased, together with previously acquired shares,
represents 10 per cent of the issued shares of such class.
Fidelity fund purchases have been made for investment; the Fidelity funds
may, subject to market conditions, make additional investments in or
dispositions of securities of Research in Motion in the future. FMR does
not, however, intend to acquire 20 per cent of any class of the outstanding
voting or equity securities of Research in Motion Ltd.
