This is worth reposting since it involves ACTV and will roll out very soon.

The odds are very high indeed that it will roll out soon, assuming that the software was well-written to begin with and the testing can be completed by the end of July so they can be ready to go for Labor Day. Since the software is relatively small in size and they have several weeks for test, and TV Guide has lots riding on this, I feel that the software will release on time. Of course, we have no clue how much $$$ IATV will make off this deal.

I figure that the TV Guide deal would be the first IATV thing to roll out, and for a month or so I have debated with myself as to whether or not this "counts" as a rollout. The big thing I want to see is still the Fox Sports Interactive stuff, because this is what they have been promising for over 2 years and this is the service that they have the credibility problem with regarding roll-out dates. After much soul-searching, I decided that the TV Guide deal would "count" as a roll-out if IATV made good money off of it, but having not seen any $ figures it would be hard to decide what is "good" money.

Anyway, I'm hoping that IATV announces in very short order that the first Interactive Sports broadcast will be coming on X date. I'd even forgive them if the date slipped into 4Q if they were willing to commit now to a firm date. I really really hope that the quarterly report maintains that rollout for Fox Sports will be 3Q instead of slipping it out.
