You are quite correct, $ 12,500 covers the worst case when you will be assigned, hence on Jan01 you would have 200 shares of CMGI for $ 12,500 giving per share basis of $ 62 1/2. However, if you leave your money alone, and not make it work, the best case scenario "only" give you 76% appreciation in 18 months, not bad, considering that mutual fund managers would die for it.

As I posted to kcmike, the triple play is most suitable if yoiu have built a portfolio for l/t and you don't want to sell them. In the mean time make use of its powers.

To those who are not familiar with naked option, I would like to warn that brokerage firms usually require accounts to be at least 100k and that you have several years experience in option trading.
