Deeno-- Thanks for your comments. IMO, the value of threads is when there is debate and and information and not just cheerleading. Specifically, I see more satellites needed for a variety of communication projects ranging from TV, to cell phones, to the increased use of positioning appliances (especially in cars, where I expect them to become standard), to transportation where locating trucks and trains is essential, to weather forecasting, to a wide variety of intelligence and military uses. A new industry is digital car radios where, I believe, the signals are satellite broadcast.
ORB is still developing newer and cheaper ways to get these satellites up. They just issued a PR talking about newer piggy-back reusable plane launched satellites. Whether this is proprietary or not, I don't know, but I'm glad that it is cutting-edge.
Also, IMO, ORB has an advantage over its competitors in that it is not a division of a larger company. This allows faster decisions and all the attention of the CEO.
Please disagree, so we all can benefit.
