Mr.GreenJeans,

Your "ramblings" are most informative.

I am having trouble knowing how to interpret the CIBCR number and what its "units" are. Is this simply the "cost" of a bunch of goods? If so, is the inflation rate indicated by this indicator -
(((107.3-106.3) / 106.3) * 12) or 11% per year?

How can it have previously gone negative given that we have seen no inflation but never really seen deflation. Is there an offset value to relate it to other CPI indexes (CPI, price deflator)? Do we need modify it for seasonal effects?

Thanks,
Alan
