Ghassan,

It sounds like you've done a good job predicting the short-term movement. I've borrowed your strategy of keeping half of larger investments long-term and trading the other half. So far it's worked good for me, although not quite as good as for you.

I'm still watching CYBE, and may pick up some of that if it dips down further.

One strategy that I'm trying on paper is to pick several two companies in the same industry--one that is technically and fundamentally undervalued and one that is technically and fundamentally overvalued. Then I short the overvalued one and buy the undervalued one. I'm thinking that this should be a very profitable yet defensive strategy in a volatile market. So far it's working VERY well, but I'm going to paper-trade with this strategy for a few months before I try it.

I expect BORL to resume its ascent about two weeks before the earnings announcement. I think it will be fairly independent of the movement of the market as a whole from that point on.
