The discussion around this stock has taken an interesting turn. Now the shorts are arguing that ABTX deserves a low PE for fiscal '00 earnings. Gone are the great threats: the stock will suffer because it is "boring".
You have missed the point, Drakes. The bottom line is what matters now not the top line. Profitability will enable ABTX to take advantage if its size and scope in the industry. Even more importantly, with the restructuring and financial peril mostly behind it, management can focus on the following (from the most recent press release):

Budd concluded by saying, "Looking ahead, we now have the ability to focus on the fundamentals of running a profitable business, including investing in and building our R&D program so that we can achieve our long-term business objective. Our long-term business objective is to build a high-value, proprietary seed business that benefits and rewards our customers, employees and shareholders."

Ultimately, the industry will see top line growth from advancements in biotech. ABTX is the best positioned to take advantage of biotech advancements in its niche.
I really could care less where the stock price sits in six months. But if I had to take a guess, I would venture that the stock price will more likely be 50% higher than lower six months hence.
