Worldgate looking good.
GMST and cable set top makers in an upward trend, GNET on fire, so cable content "sector" is an a definite uptrend. What we need now is a major media article (e.g. Time) to highlight this sector to provide more fuel, or news of more trials or adoptions on a large scale.
Technicals look reasonable, but market overall in next month looks great, so little downside.
Charter cable, among others, is rolling out WGAT service in multiple areas. WGAT, unlike WebTV, does not need a phone line, and will catch on fast, especially in homes without a PC. I spoke with a customer service rep in St. Louis who has no vested interest in WGAT, and he said that subscribers were "loving it". Hey, only a single data point, but I liked his enthusiasm. Lack of posters here that are trashing service is an indirect plus- if there are WGAT subscribers, it would certainly be useful to hear your impressions to corroborate this.
Finally, I am sure that WGAT mgmt reads this board, even if they do not post (I know 2 CEOs in tech business, and they and their brethren do read these boards, since stuff here can seriously affect their company). I encourage anyone with constructive comments/questions to post them to mgmt- depending on their philosophy (and legal advice), they may respond. It is in their best interests to do so- stock holders love to be listened to, and response from mgmt is always looked upon positively (go to GNET thread to see this in action, and search for Russell Horowitz's (GNET CEO) posts, and see responses to him.
Long WGAT, of course. |
