It appears that there's life left in INFO after all. Perhaps the very successful IPO of "ask Jeeves" (INFO uses their search engine--see Yahoo msg board for confirmation thereof) has contributed to our revival. Getting back to e-library. At last count there were some 75,000 subscribers and the numbers were growing, not static. There will always be a cadre of new i'net users (for instance, those who follow Canadian stocks) who will be attracted to the proprietary information available through e-library (like their selection of Canadian newspapers). Many of these potential users will decide that "free is good enough" and will stay with Altavista or DogPile, etc, A few others will pay by the article or by the hour on DJNS or LEX/NEX, respectively. But some will decide that the $89/year charged for Business e-library is a "drop in the bucket" for what you get. I know that I fall into this category and decided to subscribe to e-lib. I figured that it was worth $7.50/month, or roughly what I'd pay for just three articles on DJNS or 10 minutes surfing LEX/NEX. So far e-lib has paid for itself through the stock leads it has given me.
