There's nothing earthshattering. ASML is going great guns, gaining market share, and becoming an increasingly strong customer of Cymer's. The Japanese stepper equipment manufacturers are continuing to lag and have an inventory of lasers to work off. There's also confirmation of what we've heard before, that more and more chipmakers are going directly to Cymer for support, rather than the equipment manufacturers. Something that I don't recall having heard before (could be my memory, though) is that the transition to direct support was responsible for some of the falloff in spares and service last quarter.

If one is going to invest in this sector, I'd recommend a subscription to Infrastructure. They cover all of the industry stocks and are a great source of information.
