I'm sorry. You used the word "girls" in your post, so I assumed you were talking about teenagers.

I would agree that the society is much more forgiving of sexual behavior in adult women than it was. It may be that our society has become TOO permissive, however. Marriage rates are down, which is usually a destabilizing factor overall for societies.
