It appears that Montgomery County "the best prepared county" in the nation lied about its y2k preparation. gazette.net These folks claim to have started 3 years ago,now we may have to take even that with a grain of salt.Do you suppose other companies,governments might be mistaken as to how much is compliant? "The county also had set a goal of fixing and testing its computer systems by Dec. 31, 1998. That didn't happen. The county later pushed the date back to June 30, but that won't happen either. About one-third of the county's computer systems haven't been certified as fixed." J.L.T.
