Why? The basic difference is this. Video vs. no video. I dunno, what do you think the average couch potato idiot out there prefers? What do you think we could sell to the masses?

Am I wrong in saying you cannot do video across ISDN?

ISDN is only 0.128Mb/s. This compared to ADSL 6Mb/s. The real battle, from where I see it is between ADSL, cable modems, and wireless communication. Each of these will play a part. If the telcos decide to stick with ISDN, they're voting to lose the market to cable modems and wireless.
