Uh-Oh Iomaniacs... Nikon drops PCMCIA slots!

The new Nikon D1 Pro digital SLR camera ($5500) has dropped the PCMCIA slots in favor of CompactFlash type II

klt.co.jp

This means that all Sandisk CompactFlash cards IBM's Microdrive will fit, but NO version of Iomega's Flop! can fit at all!

Too bad, Iomega. But it is after all your fault for designing Flop! way too big and clunky.. too big to fit the de facto standard CompactFlash slots! Now watch as Kodak also leaves the PCMCIA slot behind as the relic it is...

Iomega = old technology and old interfaces.
