Clowngus clearly needs to do a little more DD on Wave, because he has several things incorrect. Some of his argument is also irrelevant.

1)yes, Wave has been around for 12 years, public since I believe since 1994. Wave had their ideas BEFORE the Internet, the coming of broadband and before the current slide in PC OEM profit margins.

2)Clowngus states that Wave ENVISIONS keeping 40% of the price of the transaction. Wave does not ENVISION this. It is reality. They have signed numerous content relationships, many which have not been announced. Why does Wave get a large piece of the content pie?Because they assist greatly in reducing selling costs for the content providers and allow them to reach a large audience inexpensively.

3)He compares Wave to Visa. This is not an apples to apples comparison. Wave also aggregates content, provides SECURITY in the transaction and allows many different pricing models that INCLUDE outright purchase of digital content. Clowngus, seems fixated on the pay per use, rent to own options. Purchasing the content is also part of the equation.

4)Clowngus states that computer companies must first accept this e-commerce solution. He apparantly is not aware that it is these same computer companies that asked Wave to create security functions in addition to the meter.

5)From Clowngus, "Consumers must also be willing to SEND money to an unknown company like Wave Systems to deposit, all this seems unlikely to us". He apparently is not aware of all the ecommerce taking place where consumers using credit cards to purchase hard goods from many unknown companies and individuals.

6)He also states that Visa will be a winner in the micro-transaction market if it becomes attractive. I am rolling on the floor. This guy clearly does not understand Wave's model. He must have spent too much time in one of his glue plants.

Clearly there are many investors that see the potential in Wave rather than it's failure. Look at at the players that went long in the recent PP. Claugus is simply one person's negative opinion that managed to get a little ink. Every issue has it's detractors and I believe Wave will prove this guy VERY VERY wrong.

I simply get annoyed when a guy like this gets ink and has an opportunity to skew his argument with mis-information and no opportunity for rebuttal.

Long and loving it.
